It is the tradition of the Molecular Recognition conferences that participants attending the meeting publish their original scientific work in special issues of peer reviewed international journals.
We believe that such assemblies of scientific papers can give good impression of the wide variety of research and related projects running in the contributing laboratories. Following the previous MolRec meetings in 1993, 1996 and in 2000 the papers appeared in the Journal of Molecular Recognition. The manuscripts submitted by the participants of the 2007 meeting are published in the European Journal of Biophysics by the generous help of the journal, and especially Managing Editor Professor Anthony Watts.
In 2007 the Molecular Recognition meeting was followed by the 2nd Regional Biophysics Conference taking place in Balatonfüred, Hungary. Participants of both conferences were invited to write primarily research papers for the European Biophysics Journal (EBJ), and after a reviewing procedure publish their results in the journal (special issue from the International Conference on Molecular Recognition, Pécs and Regional Biophysics Meeting, Balatonfüred; August 2007; Guest editors: Miklós Nyitrai and György Panyi).
